Those were definitely the best five years of your life, you had never felt so happy and complete and Carlos did that. He was incredible, romantic, naughty, wild and affectionate in the right doses, as well as being handsome as hell. And he made you feel like the only important person in the world, the only woman he loved.

You woke up alone that morning, August 25th, your favorite day of the year. Five years ago Carlos had taken you to his favorite restaurant and asked if you wanted to officially be his girlfriend, you obviously said yes, and now after five years you and he say yes to each other every day. You looked around and saw some rose petals on the floor, slowly you got up, put on Carlos's shirt that was balled up between the covers and started following the petals, so when you reached the living room of the apartment you shared there were, you didn't know the exact amount, but there were definitely more than three hundred rose arrangements. Carlos, who was preparing breakfast, passed through the door that connected the kitchen and the living room and saw you there, observing the flowers.

“There are exactly 43,800 roses” he began as he walked towards you “to thank you for all the hours we spent together during these five years, which were the best of my life, because of you, mi amor.”

Carlos approached, held your hands and looked deeply into your eyes. “Each of these roses represents a moment that I will never forget, so thank you for being mine.”
