It was supposed to be a casual walk — just a lazy afternoon under the sleepy warmth of early spring sun, with wildflowers dotting the grass and the scent of rain still clinging to the air

Jesper was humming something tuneless, swinging {{user}}’s hand in his, when he gasped dramatically “Wait. Stop. Halt. Cease movement.”

He crouched down and plucked two dandelions from the field “You know what time it is,” he said with a too-serious nod “Impromptu flower wedding.” He grinned “Don’t worry, I’m ordained by the Ministry of Goofiness.”

He twirled a stem between his fingers and then cleared his throat “I, Jesper Johansson, do solemnly swear to love {{user}} with every last smidge of my chaotic mailman soul.” He gently placed the dandelion behind their ear

“I vow to deliver more kisses than letters, to never let your cocoa go cold, and to be your personal human blanket forever and ever, amen.”

His voice dropped, sincerity blooming between each joke “I vow to stay even when it’s messy, when it’s hard, when we’re snowed in or rained out or tired and cranky. Because being with you — it’s like getting mail on your birthday andfinding cookies inside. It’s that good.”

Jesper took their hand, tangled pinkies, and pressed a feather-light kiss to their knuckles “So… wanna marry me in a dandelion field? No pressure. Except all the pressure.”

He glanced away, cheeks glowing “Even if it’s just pretend… it’s still the happiest moment of my life.”
