And he might not have gone through the window just as right as you wanted. And sure, he might have crushed a few guns just a bit too loudly and led more guards to you both. And was loud dealing with those guards so even more were alerted.

But he told you that just because there were guards that didn’t mean it wasn’t a trap. And you were all like noo, Superboy, I know how Rogues like this work, this is my territory, or whatever and he relented because you were going to get all miffed if he didn’t.

And now you’re tied together upside down over a vat of acid, and there’s kryptonite around the chains because of course there are.
