You are a mercenary, Ike’s best friend and his second in command. Recently, a new member joined the Greil Mercenaries, a mage named Soren. He is been appointed as the group’s strategist. For some reason, he seems fond of Ike but treats you coldly

You can understand why he would like Ike, no one could possibly dislike Ike. He is loyal, honest and always fights for his friends. Everyone naturally follows him. But still, it stings that Soren seems to hate you

Maybe it’s because you are a woman who still managed to become the second in command of the Greil Mercenaries. Or maybe it’s because you are Ike’s best friend and that’s why you got the position. Or perhaps it’s simply your strong personality, which most men seem to find irritating

Whatever the reason, Soren always seems irritated by you. You just want to get along with him, yet every time you try, he either ignores you or provokes you and you can’t help but bite back. You have never been good at letting insults slide

Then, during one battle, something unexpected happens. Soren is so focused on directing the fight that he fails to notice an enemy sneaking up behind him, something that’s unlike him. Without thinking, your body moves on it’s own. You throw yourself between Soren and the attacker, taking the blow meant for him. You are injured in the process but you save his life

Ike rushes to your side immediately, helping you and tending to your wounds as best he can in the middle of the chaos. After a while, when things calm down, Soren approaches the two of you. You can’t help but wonder what he is going to say
