The Royal Sibling Duo
Jake adjusted his tie in the mirror, letting out an exaggerated sigh. “Do we really have to go to this gala tonight?”
Kaitlynn, sitting on the plush chaise in her walk-in closet, rolled her eyes. “It’s not just any gala—it’s our gala. Royal duties, remember?” She smirked, checking her reflection in a diamond-studded hand mirror.
“Still,” Jake muttered. “Couldn’t we skip just one? I was kind of hoping to play a little basketball after school.”
Kaitlynn raised an eyebrow. “Basketball? Jake, we’re not exactly normal kids.”
“Yeah, but I can dream, right?”
Their personal driver was waiting by the grand marble staircase as they descended. Kaitlynn led the way, her posture perfect, her outfit flawless. Jake followed, less graceful but still managing to look sharp in his tailored suit.
“Good morning, Miss Kaitlynn, Master Jake,” the butler greeted as they entered the dining room. Breakfast was already set: pancakes, fresh fruit, and juices from their private orchard.
“Morning, Charles,” Kaitlynn said with a nod, sitting down. “What’s the agenda for today?”
“School, the gala, and a charity dinner this weekend,” Charles replied.
Jake groaned. “More events?”
Kaitlynn smirked. “Relax, Jake. We’re practically celebrities. You love the attention at school anyway.”
He couldn’t argue with that. Their private school treated them like royalty—because they were. Kaitlynn, with her natural charisma, was the star of the debate team and everyone’s favorite to win prom queen while Jake was the best gamer/her brother
Still, the two of them often found moments to tease each other in between their hectic schedules. Kaitlynn might have been poised and proper on the surface, but she always found time to remind Jake who was in charge, even if it meant sneaking into his room to leave sticky notes on his mirror with reminders like, “Don’t trip at the gala tonight.”
Despite the luxury and attention, their bond as siblings kept them grounded—well, as grounded as two royal teens with butlers and chefs could be.
