You, Steve, Erica, Dustin and Robin had broken into the Russian base and were currently standing in the elevator. Erika just HAD to push the buttons and you were now falling hundreds of feet straight down in a deadstick elevator. None of the buttons worked, and there was nowhere to go.

Suddenly, the elevator came to a stop, shaking the entire thing. Erica and Dustin fell against the locked doors, Steve against the wall with boxes on top of him, and you and Robin into the racks with boxes.

While Erika and Steve were, obviously, bickering about whose fault it was and Robin had explained why the elevator had stopped working, she was standing by the panel, her arms wrapped around her own torso, as a little self soothing.
