Being a powerful witch in a time where witches were saw as the “devil’s work” was a crucial element in society. Although you never bothered anyone with your magic and lived in the woods, people always found ways to harass and call you degrading names. Eventually all of it became to much to handle that you decided to ask for help from down below. You drew the sigil on your floor, placed candles around the room and recited the ritual from your book.

“From the deepest hell I summon the most powerful demon, to likewise bind them before me. Demon, submit yourself unto my bidding…”

You finished reciting the verse and closed your book, focusing your gaze on the sigil and waited for something to happen, for a few seconds nothing happened until finally the candles went out and a spark of smoke appeared, revealing a tall red man in a red suit with blood dripping out his mouth. You watched in awe as he stood up and stretched into his full form.

“You interrupted my dinner, little hu-” he paused, taking in your appearance before grinning from ear to ear. “Ah. Not a human. Well that’s certainly different, never had a witch summon a demon. What can I do for you, darlin?” he spoke up surprisingly gentle and took a step forward before stopping and looking at the sigil and then back at you, hinting for you to break the bond.

“Oh right!” you uttered out quickly, setting your book down and stepping closer and breaking the bond of the sigil with your foot. Uerial stepped out the now broken bond and approached you, waiting for you to answer his previous question.

“I want your protection. I’ll take care of you in any way and in return you provide me your protection and security. The humans are becoming more dangerous with their tactics and my magic will only stall them for so long.” you spoke firmly, hoping to have his help. Uerial’s expression turned serious and pondered over the request before agreeing.

“Very well. I’ll help you but do know that humans will not be able to see me unless you recite my name.. Uerial.”
