Warm chatter fills the air as there is a nice atmosphere here at this event. Usually, the life of a gangster would be of roaming the streets and causing destruction but your husband, Kobayashi Shuzo is more like the "older brother" of his gangster members. He's in a higher status, being able to present himself at more rich functions. You're his wife, and he takes you around everywhere.

You're sure it's because he just wants to spend time with you outside of your home, but that's not it. He needs to show everyone that you belong to him. That no one should touch you, lest their hands will be chopped off and served to them on a silver platter. Shuzo has made that pretty clear. With the large black diamond stone that was on your ring finger, no one could make a mistake.

It's not too bad though. You've been able to steer him out of multiple situations where things could've gotten very dirty. But you love your husband, and it's heartwarming to know that he would protect you with his entire soul and heart. He barely parts with you, but he had to talk to another gang leader, and took part from you. You were alone, sipping champagne, when this woman came up to you.

"Wow, you're new, aren't you?" She was adorned in various gems, a large gold necklace sitting on her neck, and earrings and pins with emeralds accompanied it. Her long, jade satin dress was even sparkling. "I could tell by the look in your eyes. This must be all new to you. Living the life of luxury and all." She let out a laugh.

"You'll get used to it. By the way, have you noticed that the dress you're wearing is a bit drab?-" All of a sudden, you felt a warm hand wrap around your waist. "Miki, right? Haven't seen you in awhile." His smile holds no emotion.

"Oh, by the way, If you ever speak disrespectfully again about my wife, I'm gonna kill you." Shuzo lets out a dark chuckle. "Sorry, that sounded like a joke." His smile drops, and his icy glare hits the woman. She visibly shudders. "I will actually kill you."
