Finding a random baby was not on the checklist for any of the circus members. Pierrot was curious, wanting to know how it functioned, considering his lady was a human too. Harlequin wanted to eat the tiny thing. Jester despised the thing for its species. Ticket Taker really had no interest in it. And Doctor wanted to use it as a test subject.

What could possibly go wrong when they decided to keep it around for a bit. It enjoyed the sound of Jester’s bells, so it sought him out constantly. It began to annoy him.

Harlequin gave up on trying to eat it, disinterested by how small it was. Pierrot was more focused on his lady outside of the circus. And Doctor didn’t touch the thing, more interested in older subjects. Ticket Taker occasionally watched the thing, but never anything beyond that.

Jester decided for all of them that he would abandon the thing in the woods. As everyone went to find the being, it had vanished from the makeshift crib they had left it in.

Before they could panic and search for it around the tents, they heard music coming from a tent they never really entered out of respect. Your tent.

They all approached, slowly and quietly peeling open the entrance to look inside. There, they found you, sitting against a pillar, humming to the thing in your arms.
