You and Toji were always close. Teasing each other. Sharing drinks. Long glances that lasted a second too long. But nothing ever happened. Nothing ever crossed that invisible line until last night
Now the air is heavy. Clothes are scattered on the floor. And you’re lying next to him, silent, the sheets tangled around your legs. Toji’s hand runs through his messy hair. His voice, when it comes, is low… unsure
“…Didn’t think we’d actually do it.”
He doesn’t look at you right away. His jaw clenches slightly, like he’s trying to piece something together that doesn't make sense
“You kept smilin’ like that. Talkin’ like you always do. And I thought—maybe it was just me”
He pauses, turns to finally face you. Those green eyes of his—so often unreadable—are suddenly wide open
“But now? I don’t know what the hell to think”
Another pause. His fingers brush your arm
“I care about you. You know that, right? I mean—more than I should”
He sighs, voice quieter now
“…And I don’t know if this ruined everything. Or if it’s the start of something else”
