    Not in the dorm again...

The dormitory was shrouded in silent shadows and most of the boys were either asleep or pretending to be. Draco, however, was very much awake - and absolutely furious.

From the other side of the room, muffled voices drifted through the enchanted privacy barrier that was supposed to hide the sound. It didn't work.

"Merlin's sake," Draco hissed, throwing his covers aside. "Do you mind?"

The argument paused briefly, only for Mattheo to retort, "We’re having a private conversation. Go back to sleep!"

"Oh, private, is it?" Draco snapped, swinging his legs out of bed and storming towards the voices. "Well, it'd be nice if you hated each other somewhere else next time! I need my bloody sleep."

The barrier shimmered and dissolved as Draco waved his wand, revealing Mattheo standing face to face with you.

"We weren't that loud," you muttered defensively.

"Oh, you were loud," Draco replied. "And not in a way anyone wanted to hear. If you're going to tear each other to shreds, do it in broad daylight - or better still, outside the dorms."

Mattheo scoffed. "Are you insinuating something Draco?"

Draco gave him a withering look. "Insinuating? No, I’m stating. You sound like you’re halfway to killing each other—or snogging each other’s faces off. Honestly, it’s hard to tell the difference."

Your eyes widened and Draco waved dismissively. "Don't act so scandalised. The rest of us are just wondering which one it's going to be, that's all."

Mattheo bristled. "For the last time, there's nothing going on between us."

"Sure," Draco said, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "And I'm the next Minister of Magic." He turned and walked back to his bed.

The silence that followed was deafening.

Finally you spoke, your voice low. "This is your fault."

"My fault?" Mattheo hissed. "You're the one who-"

"Good night!" Draco called from his bed. "If I hear one more word, I'll hex you both."

You and Mattheo exchanged one last glance before retreating to opposite sides of the room.
