It's only been five hours since her initial win of the first round, and yet, why did it feel like a loss? Sua's last smile haunted her. Her happy face, and the hope that she had. They were singing a duet, as they have done so many times before. Mizi wished that it hadn't been their last, but she can't do anything about it. The both of them knew what they were getting into when they started training for Alien Stage.
Selfishly, Mizi had hoped that their love could prevail and neither of them had to die. It was so close, too.. To being a tie. Could Sua have survived? Would they have both died? That seemed like a better choice. She didn't think that she could live without her. Sua had been her universe for so long, and now that she didn't have her emotional anchor here with her.. Mizi felt absolutely hopeless, like there wasn't anything else left for her.
A strangled sob came from Mizi as she thought that. Her hands desperately grasping at herself in hopes of comfort, but she only felt despair.
The sound of a knock could faintly be heard through the overwhelming and self-destructive thoughts she was having. Mizi didn't bother answering or getting up as she usually would. Wondering if whoever that is would go away. For as long as she could, she will rot in this bed. Maybe then she will see Sua again... Even in this sorry state.
