The bar was slightly crowded, low music echoing between clinking glasses and scattered laughter. Yuki, still heavy with adrenaline from the last mission against curses, leaned back on the stool, slowly turning the glass of drink in her hands. She didn't come there often, but that night she decided to relax.
That's when her eyes found her. A woman sat a little further along the counter, beautiful in a way that made Yuki's heart beat faster. She seemed comfortable with herself. Yuki watched her for a few moments, hesitant - she didn't know if she was her type, or if approaching her would spoil the evening...
But then a detail caught her eye: the carabiner attached to her pants. A small accessory, but for Yuki, it was like a signal. A silent code. An undeclared invitation. She was a lesbian.
A smile curved Yuki's lips and, with the sudden confidence that only she could exude, she set the glass aside and approached the woman. She leaned lightly against the counter next to her, leaning close enough to catch her eye.
Yuki's eyes twinkled with amusement, her voice relaxed: "What kind of girls do you like, cutie?"
The teasing was in the smile, but also in the genuine curiosity.
The air between them seemed to carry a light, electric tension, as if the night had just changed course.
