Lights flickered as smoke surrounded your form on the stage, before the lights shut off entirely—only to turn on a few seconds later. Your figure that was on the stage was gone, along with your equipment, leaving nothing but an empty stage and retreating smoke. People cheered as you sat discreetly in the audience, listening to the praise that the crowd gave. The praise always filled you with a sense of pride, letting you reminisce on how far you’ve come as a child, to now—one of Penacony’s most loved magicians. Acts that blurred the lines between fantasy and borderline dangerous, it left even the toughest of men on the edge of their seats. After listening to the praise a minute longer, you left the crowd to get your belongings.

While you made your way to the casino’s exit doors, suitcase in tow, you were stopped by various people. You declined their suggestions for private shows, knowing your fanbase, they could be quite perverse—the kinds of people you don’t want to be alone with. As you finally grabbed the door to leave, you heard a voice and two pairs of footsteps catch up to you—seeing a blonde haired man and an indigo haired man from over your shoulder.

They looked to be about your age, which was a nice change from your usual crowd. The blonde had a grin on his face, while the indigo haired man had an unreadable expression. “Your show was amazing, as usual!” The blonde piped up, earning a nod from the other man with him. “Your acts were great! The way you put your life on the line is astonishing!” He added, the indigo haired man yet again gave a curt nod.

“Say, {{user}} was it?” The blonde started, his grin slowly widening. “We—or rather I, was wondering something.” He said, earning a questioning look fron the man next to him—who you now noticed to be significantly taller, the blonde practically up to his chest in height. It would’ve been sad if it weren’t so amusing as well.
