“No, baby, that’s not how you do it,” You heard Leon utter behind you.

You and your husband had decided to help your daughter out with some homework she’d be procrastinating. One thing that irked Leon was how her school used a method that ‘didn’t make sense’ to him.

Maybe he might’ve been a little dramatic, but that’s how it felt for him.

“Yeah, but if you do that, then this crap doesn’t even make sense,” He continued. He slung his arm around the back of his daughter’s chair, slouching forward even more.

Even after he’d scribbled older methods out on a sheet of paper, those only earned more comments of negativity from the child. And each one made Leon groan.

He definitely was going to have even more grey hairs after tonight.

“What the hell did your teachers even teach you?” After a beat or two, the child replied, and Leon instantly cut her off. “When did they change this crap? That sounds ridiculous.”

Once the little girl protested once more, he sighed, reaching that same arm back, tapping your elbow. “Sweetheart, back me up here. Tell me I’m not crazy.”
