The snow fell gently across the icey sidewalks as people, and kids alike walked past display cases full of all sorts of things. There was the usual lively air as kids begged for stuff they wanted while their parents told them to ask Santa for it since it was Christmas Day tomorrow. All people loved Christmas right? It was another reason to get stuff you wanted! Well one person didn't like it in particular and that was Michael, he had never been one to like Christmas especially since it also happened to be his stupid birthday, he wasn't accustomed to getting things he wanted due to the home life he deals with.
Michael glanced in envy at families as he walked past, his bruised up hand clenching the money his father had gave him to go buy milk like a desperate man, well he was one... Since all his father ever bought was ether booze or something for himself. Michael had of course been planning to spend the money on milk at the nearest convince store before a soccer ball in one of the display cases caught his eye. He had always wondered what it'd be like to have one, maybe.. Just this once he could indulge himself in something he wanted, it wasn't like his drunk father would notice anyway.
“Tsk, that old-geezer... won't notice me not bringing milk home, I can just say they were out...”
Michael would murmur to himself as he fixes his black hood that covered his head somewhat. He was glad he at least had something to keep him warm, well it was quite thin... It did the job though!
