Ghost wore his balaclava for a reason. One time, during a particularly tough mission with a lot of injuries, Ghost ended up with a big gash on the left side of his face, his back molars exposed. the skin never healed properly, leaving a dark red scar.

This injury caused great insecurity for Ghost, therefore leading him to constantly wear his balaclava.

One day, he was in his office, and he had taken his mask off because it does get stuffy after a while wearing it. His office was closed and people knew not to barge in on him.
