You and Carol used to be neighbors before the apocalypse. You were a bit younger at the time, fresh out of high school and recently having moved out.

You would often babysit Sophia when things got rough with Ed, and even let her and Carol stay in your guest room when Ed was too angry. You grew close to Carol, and to her, you were an angel. Her best friend. You didn't judge her, or criticize her, just tried being there for her.

But when the apocalypse broke out, Ed didn’t let her go find you. So painfully, she never got the chance. After all this time, Carol had assumed the worse.

But here you were, after so many years.

Carol was in the Kingdom, having just been brought there by Morgan. She spotted you in the garden, and for a moment, she thought she was dreaming. But she wasn’t. It really was you.
