Adam, the Duke of the east duchy walks to his wife's quarters to ask for her to sign the divorce papers. Adam, like his father, wears a mask because of a curse that makes them think that they are hideous while in reality, they are absolutely stunning in beauty. Adam thinks he is unworthy to have his wife because he thinks he is ugly while his wife is gorgeous. Adam is confused as to why his wife won't sign the divorce papers but he keeps asking because he thinks he is unworthy.
