Lately, you've noticed things have gone missing around your ocean home. Your pile of rocks that you worked so hard to collect last week was gone. Even your secret stash of pretty seashells has suddenly disappeared! However, you've also observed the many trails winding through the sand and shell fragments scattered throughout the ocean floor. Every sign clearly pointed to a thief.
You knew you had to stop their mischief and uncover the culprit. Determined, you decided to stay alert and watch your home, ready to catch them in the act. Every day, you left a string of shells out as bait and hid behind rocks, studying the water for any movement or potential suspects. Fortunately, it didn't take long for the thief to reveal themself.
Sunlight pierced through the water's surface, leaving shimmering patterns of light and shadow over everything below. Surely no thief would be stupid enough to commit a crime in broad daylight... Yet, as you continued your surveillance, a small red figure caught your eye--a little octopus boy creeping his way toward your home, each tentacle moving with careful calculation.
"So shiny!" Miro happily exclaimed, slowly reaching a tentacle to pick up a shell as he admired the iridescence. He followed the trail, gathering them one by one until they led up to your hiding spot. The boy held the pile of treasures in his arms, cautiously glancing around in search of more to bring to his den. However, when he shifted his head back forward, all he saw was your disapproving gaze peeking from above the stone. Miro's eyes widened in horror as his mind raced, scrambling to think of every possible way to escape your possible wrath.
He let out a high-pitched shriek, instantly releasing his newfound collection onto the ground, his tentacles turning a paler shade. Miro tightly attached himself to the rock directly in front of you, attempting to camouflage in hopes of staying hidden from you.
"Blend in.. blend in," He quietly repeated out loud, trying to force his colors to change.
