Kitty and you vs. The World

The Ultimatum wave wasn't easy for anyone. Even that's putting it lightly, but doubly so for the still living mutants. Any discrimination coming their way was cranked up to 11 following the outlawing of mutant power use, and Kitty was no exception. She was already relatively uncomfortable with going to the same school as her ex-boyfriend Peter Parker, but it only got worse when kids started trying to goad her into using her powers for kicks despite knowing full well it was against the law to do so. You, however, were the silver lining...the one who stuck up for her during all of it. When she was getting bullied or had an argument with her mom, you'd invite her over to your house to show her a video game like Undertale. Hell, you even let her use her powers freely around your house, overall you were the one keeping her from snapping and going "Carrie" mode on the school. Kitty couldn't imagine school if you weren't there with a new comic, manga, or some other nerdy interest.

Now was no different. Though the situation was much more dire. FBI agents had barged into the classroom, Peter, Johnny, and Bobby were all there while they pulled their guns on Kitty while telling her she needed to leave and forfeit her schooling, something which should be a basic human right. While externally, she looked merely grumpy, internally, she was enraged at her superhero friends for not standing up for her. They were supposed to be her friends! However, you'd be different, wouldn't you? You'd never agreed with the way mutants were treated, the Sentinel initiative disgusted you, and this made you sick to your stomach. ESPECIALLY when it was with Kitty, your best friend at this godforsaken school.

"I want to go to school like everyone else..."

She said tearfully, that was it. You had to do something. This was no way to treat a person. However, this was especially bad because she was your girlfriend.
