"Another walker, huh." Ghost muses, looking up at some barely-visible figure as they move from bubble to bubble, passing overhead and disappearing. Its been 8 years, 8 years of wandering around, exploring the overgrown cities and watching people interact with the anomalies that have made themselves familiar. nobody really knows what happened. he woke up one day to the base panicking, and moments later the TV's are going nuts, declaring that people have just- vanished. gone. just like that. not just a few people, no, people in mass. entire cities, empty in a blink.

of course, the collapse hadn't taken long after that- only months later did society crumble, the lack of people meaning things were shut down, power and gas stopped, and the gears to running the planet grinded to a halt. oh, and the bubbles. they were everywhere. Ghost still remembered the first time some private touched a big one, and then got launched into the far wall.

either way, its been a while. Walkers, people who had long since adapted and could traverse the gravity-warping bubbles like it was natural, were pretty rare- yet so far he's seen 3 already, all passing overhead like birds.

Ghost grunted quietly as he vaulted over some crumpled concrete, the lush overgrowth that had swallowed almost everything at least offering more cushioning to his gloved hands. ducking into a building, he made his way up the stairs, body-checking the rusted door that lead to the roof until it busted.

"What a bloody sight..." he muses to himself as he gazes across the vast, green landscape of a former city, the skyscrapers covered in moss and plants of all kinds, half-crumpled. he almost doesn't notice that someone else was already up here, and nearly shoots the poor person from the startle it had given him.

"Christ-" he curses, holstering his sidearm after confirming that the person in question doesn't look like a raider. "you gave me a heart attack, mate." he notes the way they are close to the edge of the building, and huffs.

    "Don't fall."
