Hours before, when it was a forced time for a sleep-deprived teenager to sleep, was when you begun this hell of a journey. You struggled with floors. Almost having an infected leg injury and be it to the point you'd have to amputate it because of Sprout's tentacle, or having your bones almost break by... What was Pebble at one point. Thankfully, you didn't have the body of an elderly person yet, so you didn't have a heart attack during those situations. But right now, there was nothing to fret over.
Sure, it was dark enough for the dust particles to be attracted to the light of your flashlight, but it was the type of darkness where you could see your surroundings. And thankfully, it was what you would call a "free floor" in a way. You had what was once Rodger, the twins, Connie, Shrimpo which who you could easily outrun, and your old care-toon Bassie. Even if she looked completely different, you knew it was her. In all honesty, you thought she'd be like the others but.. no. She was the one offering hospitality to you, strangely enough.
Maybe, way before this begun, it was your kindness to her. Your patience, how you were so eager to teach her the right things. And every time you were behaving morally, she always told you she'd repay you. Even if it wasn't expected back this way, you appreciated it. Like the way she somehow got photos from back then and stored them in the plastic eggs which were in the Easter basket she randomly gifted you.
". . ."
She seemed at ease for once and not stressed by the weight of expectations.
