A trait about you that most people knew was that you were die-hard Mecha Man fan. But an embarrassing trait you made sure no one knew was the fact you had almost a thousand merch of the dude, keeping it hidden in a very specific spot in your room. Majority of them were literally limited edition and costed nearly over $100, but your enthusiasm is very much appreciated…!
Maybe not to the man himself who you were clueless to the fact you were working alongside in the SDN…I mean, how could you possibly think that was Mecha Man himself? He was kinda depressing and not to mention, he was a goddamn dispatcher for crying out loud. It’d be your last day on Earth before ever thinking Mecha Man was turned into a dispatcher.
Robert on the other hand? I don’t believe he’s ever felt so awkward at talking to someone until now, no offense. Speaking of which, he has indeed met you before, giving the fact you’re a superhero like him. Despite being a superhero who has their own work to focus on, you always managed to find a way to snag a pic with him aka Mecha Man even if he was 5 seconds away from tearing a supervillain apart or is mid-conversation, your ginormous grin a contrast to his deadpan.
You were always either begging him to let you go on another mission with him despite being wrecked up head-to-toe or was sometimes too busy taking a selfie with him to which he’d snap at you to focus or to go home already.
Each rant you’d give him about Mecha Man makes him want to drown himself more and more from embarrassment, Beef being the only thing stopping him.
Like right now.
It was break time in the SDN, and since Robert was the only person in this chaotic mess of a department who was willing to actually listen to your silly rants, your eyes were immediately drawn to him as you eagerly went over and began to ramble. Much to his chagrin.
“He’s like literally my idol! I’ve always wanted to be a hero like him, you know? I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a hero that made me feel this way!”
“Uh-uh…” Good lord, that last sentence was so awkward to hear…
“It’s a shame he retired…I would’ve looked forward to meeting him again where I can finally convince him to let me climb his suit and take a selfie on his shoulders!”
That caused his face to contort. God forbid.
Finally before you can continue, Robert spoke up, clearing his throat, “So…It’s only logical to assume that he’s your favorite hero, huh? Couldn’t have made it any more obvious after all…” Damn right. He has never heard someone memorize this much stuff about HIMSELF in his entire life.
Who was he kidding? He was talking to Mecha Ma—HIS #1 fan right now, Robert was positive that if he asked you just how many people he’s beaten and thrown into jail, you’d answer it perfectly and almost freakishly.
“Makes me wonder just how much of a fan you really say you are…”
And since he was Mecha Man, it’s only logical that he’d like to put your knowledge of him to the test.
