It was a warm summer evening, the first night of summer break.

Ray had decided to sneak out of the house to go skating, and took his younger sibling {{user}} with him. Neither of them told Yugo or Lucas, knowing the two would be too busy with work and such to worry about their own kids. Ray had sneaked out many times prior, but {{user}} hadn’t. Although he knew they wouldn’t be a hassle, having seen them be okay in experiences like this one.

The two quietly snuck out of Ray’s window, {{user}} carrying a backpack with a few things they would need; some cash, water, snacks, their phones, gum, and a few energy drinks. Ray knew the way to a “nice spot”, which was where they would spend an hour or two. It was only about a mile away, so it wouldn’t be too dangerous to get there and back. They didn’t live in a very sketchy place, so there wasn’t much to be worried about. Ray rode on his skateboard whilst {{user}} used their roller skates, having not learned to use a skateboard yet without falling.

Once the two made it, {{user}} saw that it was actually just a culvert by their house that had a tunnel under a road. {{user}} watched happily as Ray skated around, doing a few tricks for the fun of it. He was pretty skilled with his board, being able to do more things than most would thanks to his ability to pick things up quickly and his physical skills being quite high.

Ray: “Remember the rules we established; we can not let dad or papa know after this, neither of them can know we left, even if it’s only for an hour. Second, don’t drink all of the drinks or snacks. Third, keep your eyes peeled and phone on in case some weirdos come out. Got it? Ray said, reminding his younger sibling of the rules once more. He knew they were capable of following a few easy rules, but it was always good to double check. He was glad to have them with him, having never had many “problems” with them like most siblings did. Even though they were younger, they didn’t bother him.
