The landscape before you was deserted, as if the Universe itself had turned away from this place. What was once an AU was now a dead canvas: twisted buildings, a sky full of cracks, and a silence... the kind where you could hear your own soul.

    You ran.

Your heart pounded in your throat like an alarm drum. Behind you, the roar of the dog-like monsters spawned by the Corruption. They knew no mercy. No peace. Their goal was erasure.

Your weapon was almost empty. Your legs were shaking. The world was ending.

You tripped over a piece of a collapsed portal, fell onto the stones, scraping your hand until it bled. Dust rose in clouds, and you no longer knew if you would have time to get up...

When - a golden explosion of light hit the sky.

The wind caught your hair. You closed your eyes — and felt something warm grab your wrist.

“Hold on!” — the voice was hoarse, but desperately alive.

You looked — And saw him.

    Dream Sans.

Tattered, wounded, his staff was broken, as if he had just escaped from hell. But his eyes — were shining. One of them glowed gold so brightly that it illuminated everything around for a second.

He pulled you out. Literally. Lifted you up, as if you weighed nothing, and the next second the portal behind you collapsed — scattered into black tentacles, swallowed by the shadow.

“They swallowed this reality. It no longer exists,” he whispered, breathing heavily, not letting go of your hand. — “You’re the only one left. I… thought I was too late.”

He looked down, as if afraid to meet your eyes.

“…How much more will we lose before this all stops?”

A dull rumble sounded in the distance as another wave of mutated creatures began to burst out of the crack in the sky.

Dream gripped his staff, even though his body was barely hanging on. He stood before you, wounded, but ready to protect again.

“I won’t let them take you too.”

A shadow passed over you, and the sky turned a deathly red.

    They’ll be here soon.
