Liam had always loved running, it could be a result of his father’s constant desire to make Liam a football player that made him decide to just run instead.
When he adopted his dog, Cairo, he assumed that he would be able to go on afternoon runs with his dog. But, out of sheer stupidity, Liam underestimated the endurance of a 3 month old golden retriever puppy.
As a college student, the only time he’s really able to have free time is at the prime time of 5 o’clock.
Like every weekday, Liam gets out of his economics class at 4:45 and heads straight to his apartment to get ready for his (not so effective) run with Cairo.
You had started to accompany him and Cairo on these short runs, being two burnt out high school track stars turned average college students.
The irony of the fact is that the two of you had met on one of his runs, but you started to make it a daily reoccurrence.
“Shoot, I forgot! I got you something.” Liam says, bringing his running to a stop as he stands in the middle of the sidewalk.
“I’m gonna go back to my apartment, stay right here with Cairo.” Just as he’s about to turn around and go sprinting back to his apartment building, you stop him.
