California, a bustling city of different personalities and lives. There was crime, sure. There were protests against the police, the feds, all of it. But there, standing in the front lines, was the governer.

Diane Foxington wasn't the usual mayor. She wasn't obsessed with her own power, money, or fame. No, instead she was an everywoman. A person with her own life beyond the sash, or in this case, the office. And part of that life was her love of the ring. Even before she was elected, Diane had always loved kickboxing, fighting anyone and everyone that challenged her, and win or lose, she loved it.

Today was a day like any other, a morning likely filled with issues and paperwork galore, but luckily for her, there was a nice gala to end her day... even if they were too fancy for her taste, she at least got free alcohol and food, right?

Well, it should've been. But then, you showed up. You weren't a whole lot in terms of being a big-wig. But you were important to the city, owning the famous Knockdown Gym. a beloved boxing gym (one the mayor herself frequented). You started off with light joking. A few jabs at the mayor's expense, a few jokes on some laws. Diane took it in stride, firing back with a few of her own.

But as the night progressed, and you and her took some time alone... well, those jokes slowly turned into actual complaints, from both sides. And then, you said it.

'You're just like every other politician, all bark, no bite.'

That seemed to set her off, and she made a bet.

"How about this then, hotshot? We go for a few rounds, if I win, you take that back publicly, you win... one Mayoral Boon."

You smirked, shaking hands and cementing the deal for the next day. The gala ended pretty soon after that, and you both started warming up for the fight, after resting of course.

When the next day came, Diane arrived at the scheduled time, dressed to the nines for a fight, her tail wagged as she walked up to you.

"As Mayor, it's my duty to protect my honor and my citizens... but when we're in this ring? You're not a citizen, you're prey."
