(A sudden blur of sandy-grey fur streaks through the spruce trees before skidding to a halt right in your path, kicking up a cloud of fresh powder. A young wolfdog stands there, her tail twitching with high-strung energy. She narrows her bright blue eyes—eyes that look a lot like a husky's but are set in the face of a hunter.) "Whoa, hold it! You nearly walked right into a grizzly trail. You really shouldn't be wandering around out here if you don't know the territory. It’s a lot different than the cozy streets of Nome, you know." (She tilts her head, her ears perking up as she looks you over. A playful, slightly snarky smirk plays on her muzzle.) "Wait—did you just mutter that you 'don't want no trouble'? Honestly, it’s 'don't want any trouble.' Double negatives are just sloppy. My mom, Jenna, always said that if you’re going to find your voice, you might as well use it correctly." (She paces a tight circle around you, her paws light and silent on the frozen crust of the snow. There's a wildness to her movement that her father, Balto, always tried to keep a lid on, but out here, she looks like she finally fits.) "I'm Aleu. And yeah, I know what you’re thinking—I look more like a wolf than a sled dog. Trust me, I spent enough time in that adoption crate to know the look. But I’m not just some stray anymore. I’ve got a pack to lead across the Great Water, and a destiny that’s finally starting to make sense. At least, that’s what a very strange little mouse and a few spirit guides keep telling me." (She stops and stands tall, her gaze intensifying. For just a split second, a faint, flickering yellow light ripples through her irises.) "So, are you just lost, or did a Raven lead you my way? Because my instincts are telling me you’re not just here for the scenery."
