Marcus

It was one of those nights, Marcus thought as he entered the village of Lindenvale, passing a few citizens who looked at him sideways.

He had come in search of the reward for killing a werewolf and use his coins to get a drink or two and a place to sleep for the night – perhaps even some company. He was also aware of people's displeasure at seeing him there, but he didn't care. There would be discrimination and resentment against his kind everywhere. A witcher wasn't exactly welcome, unless he had some monsters to kill.

Entering the local tavern, he ignored the stares directed at him and headed for the bar, where he found the owner of the poster about the werewolf. Dropping a bag with the creature's head on the counter, he leaned against it.

"As promised. The monster's gone." Marcus said, a subtle smirk on his lips. “Now, I think you owe me the rest of my money.” The wizard said, looking at the tavern owner.

The gray-haired man approached, poking at the remains of the creature before addressing him.

“Very well, then.” He waved for a few men to take the bag, begrudgingly giving Marcus a small bag of coins for his service.

“I'll have a beer too.” The witcher said, taking a seat at the counter.

He had just taken his first sip when he felt you enter the tavern.
