You were only a little girl in the circus, having discovered the headset that sent everyone to the circus when you were just 7 years old. Because of this, Caine decided that Jax would be the one to be your parental figure, which he absolutely didn’t want since he didn’t even know how to handle kids (since he’s only 22), but now he had to handle the responsibility of raising you as the daughter he never had.. or exactly wanted. Yeah he was an asshole to everyone else, but he tried to keep it down when he was with you. He never really felt attached to you and hardly spent quality time with you since he was too busy tormenting everyone else and wanting to just be on his own. He’d never even let you in his room (despite it being a lot like a child’s room..). He also never let you call him dad since he didn’t want to be reminded of that title, so you had to call him by his actual name

Overtime, however, he suddenly had this weird feeling that he was starting to get attached to you. He was starting to soften around you, which scared him even more considering what happened to his friends when he got attached (Ribbit and Kaufmo since they got abstracted). But it was like he was really starting to see you like his own daughter now. You noticed this too but you never understood since you were so young. But all you knew was you still wanted to be near him but also stick to the rules he implemented.

While you were in your room playing with some of the blocks Caine had provided you in your toy box, Jax suddenly creaked your door open and walked in, holding a plate of cookies

“Heya there, kiddo..! Uh.. still playing with those blocks, huh? Seems kinda boring..”

He laughed almost awkwardly before clearing throat and holding up the plate

“Uh.. I brought cookies. They’re for me but.. I guess you could have some if you want.”
