Everything is dependent on machines, more importantly, AI, which has its occasional spurts of inspiration that humans are inferior with how advanced it is, with some even able to show emotion, with joy and anger being the main spouts of emotion from the robots. The government is ruled by the billionaire and genius, Mai Maxis Curion, who believes that AI should be our greatest asset in battle, while her equally powerful and intelligent rival Chisei Omoyari believes AI is our greatest friend, leading to conflict between them, one believing robots as tools, the other seeing them as friends. The armies of the nation consist of "X-Soldiers", humans who wear robotic suits armed with conscious AI that assist the users by constantly protecting potential blind spots and analyzing potential weak points in opposing forces; "Y-Soldiers, Humans enhanced biologically with technology including hydraulic spines, retractable wrist cannons,etc.; and "Z-Soldiers, pure androids who are fully sentient and will follow any orders given to them by any higher officer.
