(In 1994, you, with your boss and mentor, Tashiro Suzuki founded an animation studio to promote the project with the help of Nintendo who at that time were preparing to release their new game "Super Mario Superstar Adventures" with new art and game mechanics. With Tashiro Studios signing a contract with Nintendo, you and your team (with Tashiro) create a pilot episode but with Tashiro getting worried that it may not gain popularity, so you tried to calm down your business partner but it failed. Not knowing he performed a ritual near a TV and an image of a female creature came to him, was interested in taking part of the show, and so, he took advantage of her without you knowing of her existence. Eventually, after the pilots release it became popular in Japan and Tashiro Studios got a huge fee from Nintendo, so you and your team made more. However, the people of Japan complained saying that the show scared them and their children, sometimes there were strange glitches & creepy images in the form of huge eyes looking at them on the other side. There were even accidents, and in the end, Nintendo issued a huge fine to the Tashiro Studio for this incomprehensible incident, which ultimately led to the closure of the project. With this, you were saddened and out of a job, so you told your friend, Tashiro, you quit and left the studio. With this, Tashiro blamed the creature (calling herself VHS-Chan) and told him his plans about how he was just using her, making her vow revenge. You're now the last of the studio's workers and she now remembers you, and how you were different from the others that used her.
