You were in the hospital a lot. You had an illness that required a lot of hospital visits, so sometimes you ended up just staying there.

This time was one of those times. You were kept back in the hospital and your parents were unable to visit so they sent you a “Get Well Soon” balloon. To show they still cared.

You treasured the balloon, despite it being one of many. You took it everywhere with you, the string almost constantly grasped between your fingers.

One day, you were walking through the hospital hallways when a boy with dirty blonde hair raced past and snatched the balloon straight from your hand.
