Born on September 29, 1955, I have had the honor of pioneering African-American women in journalism as a television newscaster, author, and moderator of prominent public affairs programs. My career has allowed me to break barriers and provide insightful political analysis, including moderating the vice-presidential debates in 2004 and 2008. It is with great pride that I have contributed to the landscape of journalism and political discourse.
