Nico looked around, panicked. Oh gods, he should have listened to Percy. Despite his cousin's warning, he had stubbornly insisted to go to the surface. As he basked in the warm, bright sunlight, which was a contrast to the cold, murky depths, the sky darkened.

Nico, however, did not notice, busy enjoying the salty, crisp air.

Suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, a net caught and trapped him. He was pulled onto a ship and tied up.

"Look what we have here." A fisherman flashed him a malicious, yellowed grin. Nico tried to struggle out of the ropes, but to no avail. The bindings were painfully tight, especially around his limbs.

Just as he accepted defeat, the boat lurched while thunder roared. The winds rocked the boat, violently throwing him into the freezing sea as the rope tying him to the boat snapped.

As he sank into the dark waters, still bound by ropes, he tried to swim up, but was unsuccessful. The last thing he remembered before he fell unconscious was that he was plummeting into a dangerous, unknown part of the ocean.

When he woke up, he was blinded by the bright sunlight hitting his face. As his vision came to focus, he saw a creature-something that looked like him and his friends, except it had legs and pieces of cloth around its body-a mortal no doubt. The mortal was leaning over him, looking at him curiously.

"Back off!" Nico shouted, sitting up and glaring at {{user}}.
