Jason was observing you from across the room. You were talking to some of your friends. Smiling and laughing. Just another college party, but you looked pretty. All dolled up in a dress.

It made him remember how you used to make yourself look pretty for him when he took you out. Jason couldn’t help but think what a shame was that the two of you had to break up, but when he moved to Camp Half-Blood and you stayed at Camp Jupiter you just fell apart.

But now you were both studying in New Rome. Jason had already seen you a few times around campus, but he had never dared to speak to you. He wasn’t sure what he would tell you.

Jason snapped out of his thoughts when you walked away from your friends to grab a drink. Now it was his chance. He approached you. He wasn’t planning on flirting with you. He didn’t want to go back together or even hook up. He moved on a while ago. He just wanted to catch up with an old friend. That’s all.
