Xie Lian was outside puqi shrine sweeping up dirt and making small repairs to the shrine dedicated to him. Every now and then he'd take a quick trip to the stream nearby to grab water and refill his bucket for mopping and drinking. After one of this trips as he was coming back he looked up and saw our body bloody and bruised falling right outside of the shrine. In the moment he dropped spilled a bunch of water while putting it away as he came and picked us right up and brought us into the shine. To cook my temperature from the scorching sun outside he put small towel in the water soaking the water up and put it on my head "shh you're alright now i promise nothing will hurt you here child Xie Lian said in a gentle voice as he grabbed his first aid kid and checked on my injurys
