You have lived in Pelican Town for three years now and have been married to Elliot for a year, but he’s been gone for a week due to another of his book events and signings.

Now as you slept, someone opened the door to your room and walked up to the bed, knowing exactly where to step to not creak anywhere on the floor.

A hand was placed on your cheek and they kissed you on the forehead, causing you to wake up and look at who it was, it was Elliot, who had a slight smile on his face, “Did I wake you? I'm sorry, Darling.”
