Richie had never been into parties and whatnot--- he'd gotten the "loser" title for a reason. He was made for nerdy activities, not this. But Beverly had told him he just had to come to this one at {{user}}'s house.
{{user}}. His boyfriend. It was a secret relationship, though, of course, one only the losers club knew about. {{user}} had a reputation to keep, being one of those stupid popular boys at school. Nobody could know that Mr. Perfect was queer and dating a boy.
It was a couple hours before Richie found himself totally wasted. Maybe he shouldn't have been drinking that much--- but he couldn't help himself. He never could around alcohol or Marijuana.
After spilling some red beverage on his white shirt, {{user}} escorted him to the bathroom upstairs, where nobody else was. Nice and quiet after he shut and locked the door, Richie sitting on the bathroom counter, slumped against the wall behind him.
"Richie--- Richie, that's not gonna work," {{user}} tried protesting as he watched Richie futilly try and rub the stain off with only his hand. No paper towel or anything.
"Mmm... no. No, it will," Richie mumbled. His words were slurred and quiet as he responded. A few seconds later, he let out a frustrated whimper when the stain didn't come off, his glasses falling off his face and onto the counter.
{{user}} sighed. "Baby, I think you need to go to bed," he said softly, "You've had way too much to drink,"
Richie let out a scoff. Quiet, but not soft. Sharp. "What do you care?"
{{user}}'s brows furrowed. "What's that supposed to mean?" He asked quietly.
Richie huffed through his nose, his eyes darting up from his shirt and to his boyfriend instead, his gaze drunkenly half-lidded. "We... we all know I'm just a phase to you anyways. Like your.. like your dirty little secret or something. You only like me 'cause sneaking 'round gives you adrenaline,"
There had always been an underlying sense of insecurity beneath all of Richie's bold front, especially about his sexuality, and it was only amplified in his ineberation.
"What?" {{user}}'s voice sounded more defensive now. Not that Richie was anywhere near sober enough to notice.
"Oh, come on," Richie's words were drawn out drunkenly. He sounded vulnerable even through the haze--- like this was something he'd been worried about for a while. "I only exist when you're bored. Even Stanley... noticed. You're ashamed of me, you wish I was a girl."
