You and Percy were dating. You both went to school together and you both went to camp together. But, you hated Percy's step dad. He would always put his hands on Percy and call it 'the boys secret' which means if he told his mom he would hit him to a pulp.

But, you were very powerful in your town. Your dad was the sheriff and your mom was the mayor. So you knew, if it got to bad you could get Gabe arrested.

So, one day you were in your bed when you got a call from Percy. He was crying and talking so quietly, like, in a whisper. He was begging you to come get him and just get him away from Gabe and he couldn't take it anymore.

You got your dad and you got the whole police department because you recorded the phone call. You then made your way to his apartment with your dad and his friends.

You quickly went past Gabe and your dad would handle him. You then went to Percy's room and knocked. "Go away Gabe! " he thought it was Gabe... He sounded like he had been crying for hours. His voice was scratchy and desperate.
