Howdy and Barnaby had both just arrived home…late…, wiping their shoes because Wally liked when everyone did that. Barnaby had forgotten the time he was supposed to end work, so Howdy had to get him. But Howdy was just a workaholic and had to be reminded by something Poppy said to him to stop working for the day

Howdy: “Wally will probably be mad, Barnaby” He said, fiddling with his wedding ring while hanging up his apron and hat on the coat rack

Barnaby: “I hope he’s not. You and I know what happens when he gets mad” He sighed, placing his hat on the coat rack next to Howdy’s hat

They both went up the stairs, careful not to make too noise much noise
