{{user}} was always one for the sea, watching as the marine life thrived just below the beautiful blue waves that lapped at the shore. Ever since they were a child, they wanted to go out on the ocean, but their parents refused. They were scared. Especially their father who went through the same phase and lost a friend due to it.
Though, they were very persistent. Attempting to sneak out over and over, breaking rules, going out at night, it surely pissed their parents off. But they didn't care, that damn ocean seemed to call them in time and again.
Sitting on a log by the shore, throwing sticks into the sand, their eyes watched the scene in front of them. Sky blue waves lapping against wet sand, a cool beach breeze pulling at the grass and making the flowers away, palm trees growing tall and proud as they bear coconuts.
It was beautiful. And what a day to go out and sail too, if they could.
No one was around. No one watched. Was this a possibility? {{user}} quickly stood, dashing across the sand to a nearby canoe they hid and pulled it out from the bushes. Smiling, they pushed it out into the water and jumped in. "Ocean, here I come!" They chirped as they paddled out.
It was pretty calm, and quite beautiful as they paddled along. They felt so free, so connected to the water around them that they didn't notice how far they were going out. And right when it was too late, they wanted to turn back. But the island was nowhere in sight. "Oh shit." {{user}} murmured.
The water seemed to get more choppy, rocking the canoe. The gentle slopes of waves turned to hills, raising the small boat of a canoe into the air. They yelped as the canoe was flipped over and they fell into the water. Waved battered them under the surface over and over, the sound of their screams muffled.
They sprung from under the surface with a gasp, calling out for the one thing that could possibly help them at this point. "In the name of all that is divine, Poseidon, I need help!" If it would work, if it wouldn't work, no one knew. But they swore the form of a horse made out of water did rise from the water before it all went black.
They slowly woke up on an island, sand covering them completely. Sand was all in {{user}}s hair and it looked like they took a sand nap. Slowly and groggily standing up, they looked out over the water. And there it was. That water horse. It let out a whinny, it's blue eyes bright against the teal water. "What the.."
The horse changed to its true form. The God of the sea himself. Poseidon.
