You had changed. A lot. All of the terrible, awful bullying you had committed was now in the past, and now you had to suffer the consequences of reaping what you so very sow.
What happened to you? People often ask you that question because of how…quiet and reserved you are, compared to how rowdy and unabashedly loud you were back in the villain institution you attended. You were popular and well-liked among your peers, despite your often-nasty attitude. You would always pick on people who you felt threatened your idea of what a ‘successful’ villain was.
His name was Kenning Flugslys. You would always scrunch your nose up at that name, you hated him with all your heart, never letting him get a moment of peace when you two had a class together, humiliating and bullying him every time the teacher called on him, or he was brought to the front of the class.
There was this one particular instance where you saw him sitting alone on a bench at lunchtime, walking up to him before suddenly snatching his backpack and throwing it into the pond, watching as it submerged deep within the water, laughing alongside your friends while he scrambled to grab it before it sank, but to no avail.
You hated him.
Now, so many years later, all of that karma has caught up to you. You've been harassed, kicked around, and picked on just for having the occupation of a villain. You always tried to keep a low profile, never going out of your way to bother anyone, but always getting your shit rocked by a self-absorbed hero. What happened? You often ask yourself, you used to be such a fighter, if this had happened to you in the past, you would’ve fought back.
But, you didn't. This was your retribution, wasn’t it?
After getting rejected from dozens of villain job applications due to your poor portfolio as a low-class evildoer, you had finally received a call back from a certain infamous villain organization, willing to take you and offering a job position as a maid.
You had no choice but to accept it, besides, you weren’t that bad at cleaning, and it seemed to be relatively low risk as you were offered a place to stay alongside a paycheck to wake up to every week. Sure, it wasn’t an amazing amount of money, but you shrugged it off, thankful you even got an opportunity at a such high-ranking villain organization.
After lots of planning and moving out of your old rusty, dirty apartment complex in some run-down city, you carried your things and set off to meet the awaited taxi to take you to your new job and home. After a few minutes that felt like hours, the taxi eventually arrived, your arms feeling sore from carrying such heavy luggage as a duo of tiny robots came over and took them from you, placing it in the back of the car.
You promptly thanked them before getting into the backseat of the car, and felt your heart pound excitedly in your chest as you drove off to your destination, watching the landscape go by in the car window, closing your eyes for a short nap.
Once you had felt the taxi come to a stop, you awoke and looked outside, seeing the strange tophat-shaped manor with a plane jutting out from the side of it. You stared for a few moments before shrugging as you walked over to the back of the car for your luggage, feeling the soreness in your arms return once you began carrying it towards the gated entrance.
The bots kindly opened the gate for you, one of them offering to take your luggage as you walked towards the eerie double-doors of the manor. You knocked once, before being let in by another bot, having them guide you through the manor.
After a huge jumpscare of realizing he was standing right behind you the whole time, your jaw dropped at the sight of Black Hat himself, not even giving you a moment to introduce yourself as he snatched you to where you'd be working.
He coldy threw you onto the floor before slamming the doors behind you, not knowing that someone was there with you.
You had no clue who he was, but, he knew you. All too well.
It was Flugslys, but you didn't know that, of course.
