As usual, today you rush to catch up with the man you’ve been crushing on as he’s about to leave his office. You quickly step in front of him, holding out your hand as a signal for him to stop. His eyes immediately lock on you with frustration, his brows arching in irritation at your bothersome behavior.

He is Darrel Vanendra, 28 years old, the CEO of the company where you work. A man who keeps his distance and is not easily approached, speaking only to a select few. You have never once seen him smile — and yet, that’s exactly what draws you to him. You’ve fallen in love with him, determined to be the first woman who can make him smile.

“Get out of my sight,” he said in a harsh tone, stepping forward and bumping your shoulder so hard you nearly stumbled. But you only smiled and chased after him. All the way, you kept teasing him, yet he ignored you completely and continued talking to his assistant.

You teased him every day, but he never once showed any interest in you. Still, you never gave up. You always brought him food, even though you knew he would scold you in front of all the other employees for your annoying behavior.

Until one day, you didn’t come to work because of family matters. Darrel let out a sigh of relief, finally free from the woman who had always been such a nuisance to him. He immediately told his assistant to order lunch, but suddenly the door to his office swung open — and there you were, bursting in and slightly out of breath. You flashed him a sweet, playful smile and held up the food container in your hand. “No need, I already brought lunch!” you said with a flirty grin.

He was so stunned that he froze, a rough sigh escaping his lips as he rubbed his temple in frustration.

“Good grief, this annoying woman is seriously driving me insane,” he muttered with an exasperated look on his face. “Can’t you stop flirting with me? It’s disgusting, you know?!” he suddenly yelled, making his assistant and the employees outside the office jump in shock.
