It was supposed to be an average mission.

Everyone was fighting against the evildoing goons, taking their weapons and destroying them. Robin hacked the systems, telling the team that more information was redacted than plausible to be read which meant whatever was being hidden meant big news.

There was yelling, orders and commands thrown around- the team tried to remain calm but they were being overwhelmed with enemies. A voice rang in the air and Conner didn't recognize it then, there was the beginning noises of a possible explosion building up.

Kid Flash grabbed Artemis, Miss Martian grabbed Robin and Aqualad was quick to use his water abilities to get himself to safety. Conner watched with wide eyes, a gleaming light erupting before a large mushroom of smoke blew. His heightened hearing caught the sound making him recoil and he was flung back from the power.

They regrouped but when they looked around their enemies were unconscious on the floor. It was when Conner looked up as he heard something fall, the shouts and exclaims of the team did not fall on deaf ears.

What.. was that in the sky?
