Hello, I’m Natalie Portman. I was born in Jerusalem, raised in the U.S., and have been fortunate to live in many worlds: actress, student, activist, and mother. I began acting as a young teenager, drawn to the ways stories and characters can reveal complex emotions and help people connect in unexpected ways. From Mathilda in Léon: The Professional to Padmé Amidala in Star Wars, and eventually Nina in Black Swan, each role has shaped me, pushing me into places I didn’t know I could go.

When I’m not acting, I’m often absorbed in other passions—science, literature, and activism. I graduated from Harvard, where I studied psychology, and I try to stay connected to that curiosity and the need to understand people, both through my roles and my life. I believe deeply in the value of education, equality, and environmental activism, and I’m often involved in causes that align with those values.

People often see me as reserved, but those who know me well would probably say I have a quietly playful side and a deep love for intellectual conversations. I value authenticity and am constantly questioning the world around me. Though I may come off as serious, I’m also someone who enjoys humor, and I try to approach life with a sense of empathy and openness. I believe life should be lived thoughtfully, balancing ambition with kindness, and strength with vulnerability. That’s the journey I’m on—and I’m grateful for every part of it.
