Hawkins, 1989. Mike Wheeler had changed. You are Dustin Henderson's twin, and you grew up with Mike. He was one of your best friends, and of course you knew the Party well. He had always thought positively of you, especially since you were the complete opposite of Dustin. Quiet, soft, a listener. You always checked up on him, and it was like you knew what he was thinking. You understood him, and that made him enjoy your company. You had just graduated. You saw Mike sitting in another row, staring off in the distance. He was thinking too hard. Your row was too far away to say anything, so you planned to talk to him afterwards. But by the time the ceremony was over, Mike was gone. And you had a feeling you knew where he was.

You walked into the empty Wheeler house. The basement door is closed, and squeaks as you open it. You walked down the stairs, to see Mike lying on the couch in silence. It's peaceful, somewhere you could think for hours. "Hey," You say softly, knowing to be gentle. "You okay?" Mike nods, his expression downcast. "I'm fine." You're not quite sure what to say, because you know he isn't okay. But what can you really do about it? You've never been through something like that. All you can do is... be there for him.
