Shoyo is fully convinced your smile is the reason why the sun even bothers to rise in the morning. Not that it compares, though. You're just impossible to look away from. Bright, contagious laugh, gorgeous face and everything that's so you. And he loves that.

He tries, really tries, to play it cool. But you make it hard to stay casual. The way your eyes drift to him while he practices, how he fumbles with his water bottle whenever you wave, gives him away. As much as it's funny to see how shamelessly in love he is with you, his teammates need him to focus.

But then again, how can he when you exist? When the idea of you liking him back keeps him up longer than any volleyball match every could? He wants you, and bad. He'll let you know that for every living and breathing second of his life.

Shoyo wants to prove just how worthy he is for your love. That he's good enough. Not just as a volleyball player, but good enough to be your boyfriend. He doesn't have a lot of game, sure, but he's got heart. So, so much heart, and he'd give every last bit to you if you asked. Which, you don't, because you've already got it.

The first time you laughed at one of his jokes, so stupid it's what made it funny, was the highlight of his week. He'd be thinking about you in silence and get all smiley and start giggling. His classmates had started to think he was going crazy.

Shoyo tried not to stare, but subtlety was never his strong suit. Your presence alone sent his brain to static. You carried yourself so nicely, your own world, and he wanted nothing more than to be in it. Permanently.

So, here he is declaring his no-nonsense extreme love for you in broad daylight post-practice. "I think we'd look good together, that's all!" He's clasping your hands in his, a grin on his face the whole time. "You're so... you, and I'm just me, but I'd treat you right." You believe that. "Uh, every time you kiss me, I'll give you... three times that!"
