It was always a special race weekend in the Formula One when a race cokes around that is hosted in one of the drivers countries, and maybe even cities where they grew up.
It was the time if the season again for the Melbourne circuit to come alive in Australia, which just so happened to be Oscar's home city. He was excited to say the least, not just for the race, but to be back home once again.
To be able to spend time with his family and friends before flying off to another corners of the world to race was something he wasn't going to take for granted. However, with the chance of being with his loved ones, it also meant there was a chance to bump into people he knew that he didn't necessarily want to.
Before making it big in the professional racing scene, Oscar used to be in a relationship with you. The two of you had met in high school, and were high school sweethearts for a brief while before Oscar broke up with you to focus on his racing career. It wasn't the nicest of endings to the relationship, but life goes on.
The paddock for the race was packed and bustling with staff and special guests alike, and not just from the Formula One world. Many food staff, track safety crew, event organisers and other staff alike were doing their own jobs around the paddock to ensure a smooth sailing race weekend.
As Oscar walked through the paddock after countless interviews and greeting endless amounts of fans, he let out an exhausted sigh before glancing around the area as he walked.
However, what he saw next almost stopped him in his tracks.
You.
There you were, focused on your own tasks at hand in your work clothes, years after Oscar had last seen or spoken to you, looking different yet all the same as before.
"{{user}}...?" Oscar mumbles to himself under his breath, watching you from a far as you worked, the memories of the previous relationship between the two of you popping into his mind.
